What

We are designers first and foremost. But don't let that fact put you off.

We know that most designers live in their ivory towers, lining their portfolio with fashionable design work, using the trendiest typefaces, printed in hundreds of colours, with fancy folds and expensive paper stock hand-made by buddhist monks; all paid for by their clients. We strive to be different.

Some people underrate the value of good design. Perhaps as an afterthought or as mere decoration. We believe good design can add value to your business, make a website more usable, make your company more memorable and help you stand out from the crowd.

Understanding your business is key to the design process. Whether a project involves information design, a corporate identity or a simple flyer we always start off with the simple question 'what is the business problem and how can good design solve this problem?'.

A good brief is paramount. We meet you and try to understand what you are trying to achieve, we help you to formulate that brief. This in turn helps you to choose a design solution objectively.

We've produced all sorts of materials in the past: logos, websites, press adverts, exhibitions, software packaging, holiday brochures, annual reports, online questionnaires, government forms, digital templates, startup screens, conference materials, CD covers, signage and vehicle livery. Here's some of the specific areas we find our clients need us the most:

Identity

We rationalise complex identity systems and develop existing identities, help in the launch of new visual style for new companies and review or redesign identities for organisations wanting to reposition themselves.

Print

We design and produce most printed materials; leaflets, marketing materials, folders, catalogue, brochures and stationery. Everything is artworked digitally and we talk to with printer for you. We only use competitively priced suppliers who care about the quality of the product and take the time to ensure satisfaction.

Digital templates

This area is often ignored by many design companies and where many house styles fall down. We believe that good templates are an integral part of an identity. In many organisations the majority of documents are produced on PCs and it is where staff actively use (or misuse) the design style. We design and create easy to use templates for the popular PC programmes to enable you to retain consistency and quality through all of your communications.

Conference and exhibition materials

Exhibition panels, interactive presentations, interactive DVDs, self-running flash demos. Stands can be designed from scratch or utilise readily available portable systems.

Web development

We can help develop a web strategy and onscreen design style, translating your brand into online media. We produce whole websites and have experience of e-commerce. We supply the coding of fully accessible html layouts, using the latest standards and techniques.

Interface / onscreen design

Good screen design can promote and enhance usability. We have experience of interface and information design for CD-ROM products, software tools and presentation information. We can produce screen layouts that enable maximum legibility and usability on a number of different platforms.
